Welcome to SCORE 4 INCLUSION, an innovative project that aims to promote social inclusion and tackle discrimination in the sports sector.
Through a strategic partnership under the Erasmus+ KA2 – Strategic Partnerships – Small-scale partnerships in Sport.
Who we are?
The Organisations behind the Project: The SCORE 4 INCLUSION project is a collaboration between two main entities:
• INSTITUTO EUROPEU DE ESTUDOS SUPERIORES IEES LDA (IEES), from Portugal, Dr. Joana Costa, Dr. Aldina Silva and Dr. Dimas Pinto.
• UNIVERSIDAD PABLO DE OLAVIDE (UPO), from Spain, Dr. Marta García Tascón, Dr. José Carlos Jaenes Sánchez, Dr. María Rosario Teva Villén and Dr. David Alarcón Rubio.
In the 21st century, despite all the advances, discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, among others, is still a reality in society and, consequently, in the world of sport.
We have identified discriminatory, racist, violent and intolerant practices as a persistent problem in the sports sector.
Our main priority is Inclusion and Diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport, promoting integrity and values in sport, fighting violence, racism, discrimination and intolerance in sport.
Project Goals: The overall objective of SCORE 4 INCLUSION is to value and recognise sport as an excellent mechanism for promoting social inclusion and nondiscrimination.
Our specific goals include:
Develop opportunities for raising awareness, informing and training athletes in the context of social inclusion, nondiscrimination and the promotion of European social values.
Produce high-quality results with the potential to impact social and political decision-making processes related to sport.
Raise awareness among the general community to adopt inclusive behaviours and fight racism, discrimination, stigma and violence, both in sport and in life in general.
